The Life Source Center’s Affirming Life Adoption Program is here to help you through the maze of the process of adoption. Sometimes the thought of adopting a child is so great, that one often forgets the long and sometimes arduous process to eventually get there. However, taking one step at a time will make the process more doable and less stressful along the way.

The Affirming Life Adoption Program has put together a binder that contains an information kit that will give you a jumpstart on you adoption journey. This information kit is an excellent resource for persons seriously interested in adoption, yet confused about the process therein. The information kit contains the following:

• The various types of adoption options
• Fees schedules for international & domestic adoptions
• Various countries and each of their unique requirements
• Application form
• Step by step outline of the home study requirements
• Home study forms
• A copy of “ A Child is Waiting, a beginner’s guide to adoption”
• Useful articles and resource materials

Application Process:

Your first step in this process is to request your information kit. A non- refundable fee of $195.00 is required along with this request. Along with your information kit, the fee covers an adoption application form, along with an initial informational interview that can occur in-person, over the telephone or via e-mail. You may mail a check for the above amount. Upon receipt of your check, you will be forwarded the information kit and will be contacted by one of our staff in order to be of further assistance to you in the adoption process.

It is vital that you feel comfortable with our staff in order for you to achieve the kind of peace of mind so necessary in this vitally important undertaking. We will do all we can to assist you in achieving this state of mind.
